Come Cortina, che ha ridisegnato la propria identità con una visione internazionale e interventi capaci di cambiare prospettiva, anche Lignano entra in una fase nuova: più audace, più consapevole, più contemporanea.
Tra riqualificazione degli spazi e nuove progettualità urbane prende forma una trasformazione radicale del modello turistico. Il simbolo è la Nuova Terrazza a Mare: 14 milioni di euro che rappresentano la nascita di un hub di socialità contemporanea, con piscina a sfioro; accanto, la Darsena storica diventa una piattaforma portuale moderna da 3,5 milioni, ridefinendo l’accesso dal mare. Anche la sostenibilità è infrastruttura invisibile ma decisiva: oltre 40 chilometri di rete elettrica interrata rendono il sistema più resiliente ed eliminano i blackout estivi mentre l’ampliamento dell’idrovora di Val Lovato e i nuovi sistemi antincendio della Pineta e Riviera rafforzano la protezione del territorio.
Ecco che Lignano si libera dalla sua immagine storica di meta estiva e si proietta in una dimensione più ampia: una location che non si accende a stagione, ma si accende sempre.

Like Cortina, which has reshaped its identity through an international outlook and projects that shift perspective, Lignano is entering a new phase: bolder, more self-aware and more contemporary. Between renewed public spaces and fresh urban plans, a radical transformation of its tourism model is taking shape. Its symbol is the new Terrazza a Mare: a €14 million project marking the birth of a contemporary social hub, complete with an infinity pool. Nearby, the historic Darsena is becoming a modern €3.5 million marina platform, redefining access from the sea. Sustainability, too, is a quiet but decisive infrastructure: more than 40 kilometres of underground power lines make the system more resilient and remove summer blackouts, while the expansion of the Val Lovato pumping station and new fire-prevention systems in Pineta and Riviera strengthen protection across the area. Lignano is moving beyond its familiar image as a summer resort, towards a place that does not come alive for one season, but stays alive all year round.
